Retro Electronics & Computers, or REC is located over in Portsmouth inside the Big Red Barn Flea Market building. Retro games if you didn't know are hotter than ever and I found this little gem last month while looking for retro N64 games on Craigslist. Since it was my day off I took a quick drive over. I'm already in Chesapeake so it was just a short drive down S. Military Highway, over to Canal, then 17, then Victory Blvd. I don't think it took more than 15 minutes to get there. There was plenty of parking on the side of the building once I arrived and the shop is located in the back of the Big Red Barn building. I met the owner however I'm afraid I've forgotten his name. I want to say 'Cliff' but don't hold me to that. However he's a nice guy and we were talking about technology and such in short order. I found a couple of dirt cheap N64 games. He had games for many platforms, Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Xbox, etc. In addition to games he also had consoles, as well as some computers, memory and all sorts of other electronics. There was a fairly good sized area full of DVD's and Bluray's as well. Prices were more than fair. I picked up a few N64 games for $20 bucks and one of the games was worth that much by itself. Needless to say I was happy with my purchase and I'm definitely adding REC to my rotation of retro gaming shops.
