I had an original PS3 that I've been holding for awhile that had the red light of death error. I was in the mood for some old PS2 games figured it was time to get it fixed and based on the reviews and price, I gave Edge Tech Repair a shot. I did try and call during business hours several times but no one picked up. Coming from Kirkland, it would've been nice but seeing this seems to be a one man operation, I can understand it. The PS3 was dropped off Saturday and I was told it'd be ready within 24 hours with Monday being the next open dated but that I would get a call. I didn't get a call until Wednesday afternoon but the problem was fixed and it works perfectly. All of my complaints are minor annoyances and I would use this place again. I was charged $49.32 which was more than reasonable and I would have paid more for expedited service if it was an option. Pros: Inexpensive, inexpensive, and my PS3 now WORKS! Cons: Crappy parking (especially with the construction) and inaccurate estimation time on repair (I wouldn't have cared but if I'm told Monday, I expect Monday not Wednesday).

Not sure what else I can say about Edge Tech. They did another huge project for me involving custom wiring of a PS4 camera (newsflash: good luck extending the AUX cable if you have a projector) and charged me not nearly enough - I had to offer him more money than his quoted rate to leave without feeling terrible. Roger does outstanding work and is an incredibly stand-up guy. Small business owners should aspire to run their shop like he does. Professional, courteous, and above everything else, extremely proficient at his job.

Got the YLOD for the first time and got it fixed in about 2 hours here. About 3 weeks later, I got the YLOD again and was able to get a fix for free since I was under the 60 days store warranty. Now about 2 and a 1/2 months, I thought the PS3 was running like a champ again until tonight. This is the third time this PS3 got the YLOD, so this isn't a permanent fix. I'm giving this place a 3 stars for their cheap service which was $45 compared to Sony's $150 repair service. It took about 1-2 hours to get the console back, but it'll be nice if they give you a call once they're done. They did keep my console running for a while, but it's a bummer that it's not a permanent fix. I do play my PS3 everyday a couple hours here, so if you're like me looking for a permanent fix, this is not a place. If you want your PS3 to be alive again for a good few months, then this place could be for you.
